Yes: Most of the time the discomfort is in the mid upper abdomen. In your case reflux itself would cause similar symptoms. Aside from hiatal hernia, a variety of other medical conditions may account for your symptoms, including but not limited to gallbladder disease, intrinsic gastric/ duodenal pathology or liver disease. Cut on alcohol and monitor your symptoms. If persisting mention them to your doc.
