Cyst: A cyst can be aspirated if symptomatic. If it recurs then it should be excised.

Family practice: It is probably a ganglionic cyst. It sometimes can be drained but usually requires surgery if painful persistent.

Cyst: Cysts that grow on the achilles are sometimes a result of achilles tendon tears. Especially if these cysts are located about an inch or two above the heel bone. Those tears then scar in and over time, those scars feel like cysts on the achilles tendon. Achilles tendon tears sometimes occur with people who return back to sports activities like a week and warrior. Consult your podiatrist.
