Fast 10-12 hours: You can have beer the day before but not within 10 hours of the test. However, it is ok to have water during the fasting period- in fact it's good to have some water the morning before the test...

I do drink alcohol beer every day after work.i worry I might have cirrhosis when I worry I go to a regular doctors office and ask for bloodwork everything comes back in range and even my GGt.Would GGT be normal if cirrhosis was present from drinking?
