Nose Knows: Does it hurt? Is there surrounding redness? Have you had any trauma to the nose? It you have no other symptoms, it could just be a prominent medial crural footplate (nasal cartilage). If it hurts, drains pus or gets bigger, you may want to get it checked out by an ENT doctor. Importantly, don't mess with it. If it is a normal structure, manipulation with your finger can lead to an infection.
