Not okay: Don't resist using your inhaler if you're wheezing. It's important to relieve bronchospasm and keep your airways as healthy as possible.

Try the inhaler: Virus infections, like the flu, can trigger major problems for people with asthma and who need inhalers. If you have wheezing, it means the flu has made you closer to getting really sick. If the inhaler makes you better, you'll be more comfortable. I suggest you use it. If the wheeze, even slight, goes on for more than 10 days or so from the start, talk to your doctor about it.
