Adrenal fatigue: Adrenal fatigue is not a recognized diagnosis in science based medicine. Although inconsistent with our understanding of adrenal physiology, the theory is that the adrenal glands "wear out" after a prolonged stress leading to fatigue. There is no evidence or reason to believe this occurs. When the adrenals are damaged or fail in conditions such as addison's disease -- fatigue is a symptom.

Catch All Diagnosis: Adrenal Fatigue is not a recognized medical condition by the mainstream medical community. It is believed, by the people and doctors who promote it, to be the result of loss of cortisol reserve over time and then fatigue. If the adrenal does lose reserve the condition is primary adrenal insufficiency (Addison's Disease), which is a very serious condition which needs proper work-up and treatment.
