What are the pros and cons of fnac vs core biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cells vs tissue: Fnacuses a small needle to dislodge cells to see i they are malignant. Requires expertise of a cytopathologist to get accurate readings. Core biopsy uses much larger needles to obtain tissue and will be more accurate but may be more uncomfortable and occasionally lead to some bleeding.
