Sleep reclined: While there is no guarantee a change in sleeping position will be helpful, sometimes sleeping reclined and not flat on your back or sleeping on your stomach will cause less obstruction as your palate and throat relax as you fall asleep, causing less obstruction. It's worth a try, but likely things won't change a whole lot until your obstructing tonsils are removed.

There are a few...: Osa can certainly be troubling. By now you have probably already tried most of the standard suggestions: lose weight if you are overweight. Elevate head of bed. Use cool mist humidifier. Avoid alcohol or sleep aids at bedtime. Trial of nasal decongestant. Trial of breathe right nasal strips (yes, like the nfl football players wear!). CPAP use--which is probably the most effective non-surgical tx.
