You've likely had it to some degree for years. The appointment just allows them to focus on the treatment methods that may help and selecting the equipment or procedure needed in your case. It is not loke a bad appendix where a week or 2 delay could be fatal.

It can definitely wait for few days, waiting time can now be in months in different parts of the country. If overweight, start working on a plan to lose weight.
