No: Pyridium is a urinary anesthetic, which simply helps with the burning pain of uti. The Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic - much more important since it treats the cause of the infection, and not just symptoms.

Dr. Jay Bayer answered

Combination.: Probably not. Years ago added pyridium (phenazopyridine), (phenazopyridine) or irised which is over counter for painful urination- symptomatic only. Antibiotic is to controll or kill bacteria causing problem. If burning or pain w urination gone stop pyridium (phenazopyridine).
