Fungus?: It's impossible to make a diagnosis based just on one sign. However, the majority of common white lesions of the tongue are fungal. It's usually "candidiasis, " or what you might call "thrush." that's not something that easily goes away by itself. You should see a dentist & get some medication. More importantly, your dentist needs to rule out other problems which are potentially dangerous. Get help.
