Hard to predict: Even though it may be some genetic predisposition, hyperthyroid besides being serious if not treated, is also very symptomatic , with palpitation, anxiety, weight loss etc...., its best to mention to your doctor to have it checked at least once a year with some basic blood tests of your thyroid functions.
