Normal: Baby is six weeks old. Completely dependent. Finds pacifier soothing, yet lacks the muscle coordination, control, and understanding of how exactly to keep it where it belongs. No major developmental concerns here. Talk to pediatrician if ongoing concerns.

Continue if U wish: You have one 1st chance to deliver baby from the comfort of the womb & begin the process of having baby learn to self settle. That starts with feeding while waking, playing until tired & putting them down awake to self settle.If you accept that they will fuss some when they are tired & quit holding them, they learn to self settle.Otherwise plan to hold & rock 24/7 until kindergarten.
