Difference between trancutaneous versus transconjunctival blepharoplasty?

Lower lid surgery: Can be performed through a skin incision just below the eyelashes (transcutaneous) or through the inner surface of the lower eyelid (transconjunctival.) the latter leaves no visible scar. The former leaves a scar that becomes imperceptible after healing. There are other advantages and disadvantages to both approaches.

Simply: Transcutaneous means through the skin. Transconjunctival means through the inner lining of the lid.

Scars: There are no scars with transconjunctival approach. The transcutaneous approach can be better if you have excess skin.
