Infection: You apparently have an abcess/infection. Medicine will not help. The only options are extraction of the tooth, or a root canal treatment & correct restoration of the tooth. Get to a good dentist soon.

Swollen?: If you are swollen from trauma then an anti-inflammatory med like Ibuprofen may be great for you, but if there was not trauma and it is swollen you need to see your dentist for treatment of potential infection. You would need an antibiotic and treatment of the tooth causing the issue if that be the case. Best of luck and don't put it off, you will have much pain otherwise.

See a Dentist: Tooth infection will not go away on its own, so it's important not to ignore the symptoms. Take NSAIDs or Tylenol (acetaminophen) OTC and see a dentist for treatment.
