It varies: Most babies will take up to 4 ounces per feeding in the first 2 months. After that, if he still acts hungry, add another 1/2 ounce at a time to see if that is what he needs. Don't rush him or give him too much. After the first month, if he sleeps longer at night, let him sleep. Do wake him in the day if he sleeps longer than 3-4 hours, since he probably should eat.

Varies some, depends: The average kid can take 1/2 his poundage as ounces at a time every 3-4 hours. This adds up to 24-3-28 oz /d at this age. Baby should sleep longest when you get your basic sleep, & be wakened after no longer than a 2 hour nap /time to feed during the day.Longer day naps may flip the day/night cycle & result in sleep disturbances.
