Blood bank won't accept my mother's blood b/c it won't go through the white blood count filtering process. any explanations?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cryoprotein?: Your mother may have a protein in her blood that precipitates out when the temperature of blood drops, as it would during the filtration process. This is only one plausible explanation. You should inquire with the blood bank.
