Seems like we: Don't have the full story. All rbc products are leukoreduced (wbc removed). I cannot think of a rationale of why that would be a problem for a donor. See if you can get some specifics.

I have read somewhere that cancer cannot be transferred through blood then why do blood banks not take donations from people who have cancer and reject them on the basis that they have cancer ?
