All part of the same: Acute epididymitis is usually caused by bacteria and can also effect the penis.You need to continue antibiotics and need to follow up with your doctor or a urologist.

Can infection in the epididymitis or elsewhere in the groin cause scrotal sac/testicle pain and soreness but NOT be detected by ultrasound or urinalysis? Have had my urine tested with an US, both of which were negative for infection?
