Hmmm: It will take several days for the site o extraction to close. Be patient. If you are having pain that is not resolving then see your doctor.

Different stages: The length of time for healing depends upon many factors including which tooth it was, the difficulty of the extraction, your age and general health, etc. It can take the extraction site from about 10 days to weeks to close over. It takes about 6 to 8 weeks for bone fill under the surface and may take 3 months for complete bone remodeling. Your dentist should see you for a follow up visit.
