Nonspecific: Alkaline phosphatase is a blood test that can be elevated in both diseases of the liver or the bone. Conceivably if kidney cancer spreads to either the liver or bone, the alp may become elevated especially if the spread is quite extensive. However, other benign conditions can lead to alp elevations such as infection, paget's disease of the bone, hepatitis, inflammation. Get a thorough check up.
