In aug 2021 i had my right kidney removed due to cancer. post surgery my bun went from 22.0 to 15 to 19 and is now at 27. my creatinine went from 1.37 post surgery to 1.28 to 1.20 and to 1.18 and is now at 1.40 why better to bad?

At your age, the remained left kidney can't fully compensate for the lost right kidney. I may be able to give you a better explanation if you give the lab dates of those results. However for almost two years after losing one kidney, your left kidney seems compensating very well and you should not expect a full compensation. Good luck.
