Many nutrients: There are many causes of thinning hair & some, like hypothyroidism or vitamin deficiency, are reversible. Vits. Needed for healthy hair include b3, b5, b6, b12, biotin & a, c, d, e & zinc. Healthy hair: For healthy hair growth: Get adequate sleep,avoid excess sugar & fat in diet, v carbonated beverages, eat enough protein, exercise regularly. Biotin helps (but don't over do it). Insure you have adequate Iron (like kale & other dark green leafies), Omega 3 fatty acids (like walnuts) & vitamin E (fruits & vegetables). Avoid sulfates & formaldehyde in shampoos). Avoid excessive blow dry heat.
