Should improve: Sedation side effects should improve somewhat after 4-7 days of treatment, if symptoms persist, there are alternative beta-blockers which are less sedating. Ask your doctor.

Hello, Thank you in advance. I am on a very low dose of atenolol, not even 12.5 mg a day. It affects my central nervous system, makes me weak, achy and tingling. Mostly controls HR, but Dr. wants to switch me to Propranolol. Is this better tolerated?
