What's ur question?: We used to equate color of mucus w/source of infection. In other words, green mucus required antibiotics to treat infection while clear or white mucus did not. In fact, recent studies show no correlation btwn mucus color & causative agent & response to antibiotics. Truth is most common colds are due to viruses which aren't responsive to antibiotics.
