See your R.D: "sugar" is a generic term...Everything has sugar in it..Your body runs on glucose which is a sugar. What you may be referring to is "refined" sugar such as sucrose. There are things you can do, and alternative foods you can eat that will satisfy this craving. I suggest that you consult your family doc and get a referral to a registe3d dietician for some dietary counseling, .

Protein: Fiber helps keep your bowels moving & decreases risk of constipation. It's also more filling. But your body runs on sugar (in various forms). So try to keep your energy going by eating healthy protein at every meal, perhaps even a protein shake or other snack btwn meals if possible/necessary. Beans & eggs are an inexpensive source of protein. Don't forget healthy fats & oils like fish & olive.
