Nerve compression: Tingling of the arms and hands is usually caused by a nerve compression syndrome, however a detailed evaluation by a hand surgeon or neurologist with nerve tests will identify if there is compression and more importantly where. The syndromes include common conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome which can include symptoms from the hand up to the shoulder and neck.
