Extracted tooth: Teeth are in socket surrounded by alveolar bone so when its pull out you may feel the surrounding projection, specially when there is no adjacent tooth. Anyways it is advisable to see your dentist so he/she can take x ray to rule out any other problems.

No Pain No Problem: It could be a mixture of a blood clot with your saliva. Or it could be a section of loose tissue with some blood clot on it. Or it could be a loose suture. Anyway - if no pain then there is generally no problem. The first 3 days need to pass to establish a good healing pattern.
