Probably not: Healing varies depending upon the specific tooth, the difficulty of the extraction, and individual's healing abilities. It could take from 1 to 3 weeks or more in some cases. If you have any questions or concerns, speak to the dentist who actually removed the tooth.

Depends on…: How involved the extraction was: more the trauma to gum during extraction, the longer it will take for gum to heal & return to normal pink color. Also, if tooth was abscessed, healing will take longer. Contact dentist/oral surgeon who removed tooth to air your concerns. Knowing your specific case allows him/her to give more specific answers.
