Reddish: Recent extractions result with a blot clot forming to stimulate bone regeneration. The area will be reddish due to the clot and will close over with time and light salt water rinses. Smoking and overly agressive rinsing may cause rejection of the clot, resulting in a painful dry socket.

Healing: By this point most or all of the soreness from the extractions should be gone. Tissues should appear salmon pink to slightly reddish. There should be no odor or bad taste. if you are unsure, see the Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon to asses your healing. You also need to discuss with your Dentist how to go about replacing these teeth as soon as possible.
