Play detective: Migraines can be caused by certain trigger foods, caffeine, chocolates, certain drugs, a change in your eye's visual acuity, stress, hormonal surges, etc. Play detective and see if there is anything you recently changed (went from caffeine to decaff coffee, etc), and you may find your trigger. If they persist, you need to see a dr. For an evaluation and get checked out. Good luck.

Botox?: If "nothing" has helped and you haven't had botox-you might consider. Check with your doctor and see what they think. You will also need your insurance to pre-approve if your doctor decides to go ahead.

Headache specialist: You need to be seen by a headache specialist and get appropriately worked up for a cause. After that, a daily preventative may help eliminate or limit your headaches. In severe cases in which that doesn't work, Botox and surgical treatments can be of benefit.

Chronic daily HA's: You need to break up pattern with preventative measures, and many choices: otc includes riboflavin, butterbur, co-q10, feverfew, magnesium. Rx such as divalproex sodium, topirimate, beta-blockers, naproxen. Botox, newer dental devices, occipital nerve blocks. Really best to see neurologist who specializes in headaches.

Chronic daily HA's: Describes almost daily events that evolve from intermittent migraines when constant pain meds are used. Can be prescription but even tylenol (acetaminophen). Hard to say if testing is required, but do think you could benefit from preventative rx or otc approaches. Latter such as butterbur, feverfew, riboflavin, co-q-10, seem to help in many pts. Try to taper off pain meds, as things could get worse, if not.
