Diagnosed by my ent and a ct with lingual tonsil hypertrophy. choice is to have biopsy or lingual tonsils removed. not sure what to do.

Remove them if they bother you: A biopsy may not show and underlining cancer. Most likely the tonsils are enlarged but the nine without cancer or lymphoma. The only way to know is to remove both tonsils completely especially if they are bother to you or cause infection. If they do not bother you it is reasonable to watch them to leave them alone if you do not want to undergo a fairly significant troubles of this kind of surgery in an adult.
