Stomach acid?: Too much enzyme content of the saliva is most likely not the problem. You may have acid reflux from your stomach if your mouth feels like it is burning. You can try taking some otc antacid meds such as Prilosec to see if it helps. If not then visit the doctor for further evaluation.

No: You are confused and confusing. Enzymes in your saliva help to digest food. Mouth burning is not from your saliva but from another source. Too much saliva or not swallowing well can make you feel that there is too much saliva. Spitting is unsanitary and disgusting to others.
