I get knee pain below the knee cap. it does not swell or become red or warm. could you give me some ideas as to what it is?

Knee cap pain: The tendon that attaches below the knee cap to the lower leg is the patellar tendon. It can be tender from tendinitis, strain called patellofemoral syndrome. Pain below the tendon on the lower leg could be growing pains or injury to lower leg.
