Both of my feet and knees get swollen, red and warm to touch, when i am on my feet for any amount of time. they also seem to have a pins and needle sensation in them. what is the cause?

Please see your doctor in person for this. You need a full examination and probably some lab testing to diagnose the underlying problem for these symptoms. They can also ask you more questions to get more detail on this, such as how long everything lasts, what you are doing when standing and other medical history. Unfortunately, we cannot do this on this section of the platform.

Your description suggests venous insufficiency affecting your legs that is relatively common and among many other possibilities. A degree of neuropathy may be involved as well. Seeing your doc to have your conditions properly diagnosed and treated would be best at this point.
