OTC Ankle brace: You're better off using an otc brace or splint that trying to tape yourself up at home. It's not as easy as the professional trainers make it look. You could also just see a podiatrist - many of us stock simple braces for simple sprains.

Brace it: If your ankles feel weak or unstable, it is advisable to wear a brace to prevent injury. You can also consult a podiatrist, orthopedist or physical therapist who can recommend exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscles. In extreme cases, ankle stabilization surgery may be necessary.
