Yike: Most umbilical hernia is small and with little symptom but it sounds like your us big and big enough to have abdominal content like bowel or associated content to protrude through the hernia. If you indeed have pain where the hernia is and that there is a big budge in this area then you should see a surgeon to eval for repair because the protruded bowel can get strangulated.

SEE A DOCTOR: The symptoms you're having are very serious. You should go to the er or see a general surgeon immediately. The surgeon will likely fix the hernia very soon. If you wait and there are intestines caught within the hernia sac, then the intestines can become damaged or strangulated (blood supply cut off).
