Hidden: Liposuction done by a properly trained board certified plastic surgeon is a good way to improve contour and treat hard to lose fat. It does require very small incisions which leave visible scars. The scars can be hidden in natural folds and crease in talented hands. Liposuction should not affect your ability to joint the military service.

Yes: Liposuction is done through small stab holes usually about 4-6 mm long in places where they can be concealed such as in the belly button, lower abdomen, behind the elbow or under the chin. These scars but small ones such as a pimple or acne scar. Joining the navy is your decision.

Liposuction and scar: The scars used for liposuction are usually small, less than 1/2 inch and placed in creases of the body that will be able to be disguised. I've never heard of a patient who was disqualified from military service because of a liposuction procedure. Anchors away! drb.
