I had a clean EMG but I still worry about ALS. My neurological exam was normal. The EMG was done in my arm. Sense a LS is a pathway disease wouldnt a clean EMG rule out ALS for me even if it was only done in one limb and not all four?
I had an EMG about a week ago due to ongoing neurological symptoms (pain, perceived weakness, spasticity). EMG came back clear, and I was told symptoms were likely related to hyperexcitability. Can EMG miss something serious like ALS?
