Quick: The recovery from a breast augmentation is pretty quick. Most women can go back to work within a few days. Smaller implants have quicker recovery times. I recommend waiting 6 weeks before resuming weight lifting exercises. http://www.dassmd.com/breast-augmentation/index.html.

Rapid.: Breast augmentation is very well tolerated. Your recovery time is very rapid. Patients often resume work and regular daily activity within days and more strenuous activities by 4-6 weeks. Sub mammary or above the muscle augmentations will recover faster than subpectoral or below the muscle augmentations. Let your body be your guide. If it hurts, slow down.

It varies: Patients have pain for the first week. Most are back to work in a week or less. Activity is limited as tolerated. If the implants are under the muscle i limit the lifting for three weeks. Some surgeons encourage moving the arms on the day of surgery. There is no agreement among surgeons which usually means that everyone is partially correct.

Varies.: Every patient responds differently to surgery. Most patients however require 2 to 4 days of “recovery time”; during this time patients utilize pain medication and muscle relaxants and benefit from help at home. Most patients are able to return to a “desk job” one week after the procedure. I ask patients to refrain from heavy lifting/strenuous activity for 4 to 6 weeks. Best wishes.

At least a week: We generally recommend that you take a week off work and avoid strenuous physical activity for three weeks. Certain dressings may be required during this time. Everyone experiences pain differently. It could be a few days to a few weeks.
