How long is recovery time after having breast reconstruction?

Varies: Depending on whether you have tissue expanders or a flap based reconstruction will affect how long the recovery is. In general, you should expect 4-6 weeks off of work and another 4-6 weeks of light duty after that.

One month: Most women should be able to return to full activities within one month after surgery. You should be able to return to a desk job after a few days.
