About 2 weeks: In two weeks most of the restrictions I have on patients are gone.

It is staged : Many people spend one night in the hospital after surgery. They usually feel pretty good in a couple of days. Drains if your doctor uses them come out in 5to7 days. Many people are back to work in a week or two. Full physical activity is usually in about 6 weeks.

Varies.: Every patient experiences a different recovery “time” after breast reduction surgery. Most patients are over the “hump” approximately one week after the procedure is performed. I ask patients to avoid heavy lifting/strenuous activity for approximately one month after the procedure. Despite this recovery time, patient gratification is almost instantaneous after this operation.

Hi. You may return to work 1-2 weeks after your breast reduction procedure, but I still require my patients to continue wearing their surgical bras for the next 5-6 weeks. After six weeks, you may gradually resume your heavier exercise routine as well as other strenuous physical activities. Pain is limited with this procedure and patients frequently stop pain medicine after 3-4 days.
