My tounge is very red and very dry and has cut like liaisons on it but its not thrush as i've had before .

Could be thrush: Thrush can cause a red, dry, and cracked tongue even though it usually presents with white spots that look like they are stuck on tongue surrounded by redness. Suggest scraping the tongue and looking for yeast under microscope. Can also be from nutritional deficiencies but very unlikely. Even if scraping negative would still consider anti yeast rx. If this recurrent then need to look for causes.

Geographic tongue: You may have a condition known as geographic tongue, which is a benign condition we don't know what the cause is but can be worsened by spicy foods or smoking.
