Bipolar: "bipolar" means a mood disorder where in addition to periods of depression, there are also periods of high energy, decreased need for sleep, euphoric to irritable mood, grandiosity which can escalate to delusional proportions, racing thoughts, pressured speech with flight of ideas, etc. Longitudinal history is needed for accurate diagnosis -- it's best to see a psychiatrist for eval & treatment.
