Policization surgery: I bet you have a hand surgeon referral to discuss when the surgery can be done. If not, ask your pediatrician for referral. Surgeons do not perform pollicization at a specific age. In fact, doctors will likely ask you to wait and see how your child uses her fingers and thumb to grasp and hold objects. This helps them decide whether pollicization is the best option for your child.

Possible TAR syndrom: He should have a full blood count to see if his platelet count is normal. There is a syndrome known as tar syndrome that consists of thrombocytopenia and radial aplasia.
