Still liver issue: Alcohol is the commonest cause of liver damage, but other things including prescribed drugs can cause liver abnormalities. Your cousin has low total protein and elevated liver enzymes and needs to be investigated for liver disease. If your cousin desires, she should discuss the matter with her doctor, or find a different doctor if the current one is not helpful.
