Typical carcinoid: Typical lung carcinoid is growing slower than other type of lung cancer- it may take months to several years. The severity of problems/symptoms obviously will depend on whether it produces hormones and the size of the mass. The location of the mass, i think, is important too . A relatively smaller mass may cause problem earlier if the location close to important area.
