I had surgery i am wondering if the stitches ripped inside my ankle, would i know. i am feeling some pain but it seems like the normal post op pain?

You wouldn't know: If some of the stitches placed inside your surgical site ripped, you wouldn't know. If skin sutures ripped, you might see blood soaking the dressing. Pain after surgery is expected. It should get better as the days go by. Keep the ankle elevated and have ice packs placed around the area. Keeping the swelling down can help alleviate some of the pain. Follow up with your physician as instructed.

See below: It would be almost imposible to tear the inside stitiches unless you fell or had trauma to the ankle.
