I'm getting ankle surgery. and my doc said i will be in a walking boot with no pressure for 6 weeks. will they give me the boot with stitches?or after

With stiches: There will be compression bandage applied to your ankle and then you will use the boot to walk around. This will offload the area and minimize pressure when you walk. Not sure what type of surgery your are having,
