Not necessarily: Pain meds have a lot of side effects but they probably won't shorten your life span. Also, you are young and if you are motivated you may not need to be on pain meds your whole life depending on what is the cause of your pain. There are many ways to treat pain without meds or by reducing meds. Good luck.

Variable: Gather you have chronic pain, but not clear why. Trust you are to receive some pain meds and perhaps others, and this too is not clear. Do not know if you smoke, use drugs, or consume large amounts of alcohol. So, based on your provided description, there is no way we can predict your longevity. Why not ask your pain specialist directly?
